Bethany first discovered yoga in her hometown of Denver, Colorado.
She was drawn to the physical nature of the practice. As a former dancer who had spinal fusion surgery at 20, yoga became an accessible way for her to move and express herself again. With a background in dance instruction, she knew right away that she wanted to share yoga with others. Bethany’s true passion lies in Bikram yoga, which she teaches with a focus on making it accessible and therapeutic for everyone, no matter their physical condition. She specializes in working with students who have injuries or limitations, helping them feel comfortable and confident in the hot room. Her classes are rooted in compassion, love, and humor. If there’s one thing, she hopes her students take away from their time together, it’s the belief that they belong and are capable of anything. As she like to remind them: “If you’re hungry, eat. If you’re thirsty, drink. If you’re tired, rest. If you’re lonely... come to yoga!” When not teaching yoga, Bethany is a middle school special education and science teacher, a mom of three, and a lover of music, travel, and books.
