Woman practicing hot yoga at Helios Yoga Loudonville
How hot is the studio during Hot Yoga classes?
Our studio maintains temperatures from 90°F to 105°F to create the ideal conditions for Hot Yoga. This controlled environment safely elevates body temperature, enhances circulation, and maximizes sweating to help release toxins and improve flexibility.
What are the benefits of practicing Hot Yoga?
Hot Yoga offers numerous benefits, including enhanced strength, flexibility, and balance. The heat helps increase muscle elasticity, allowing for deeper stretches and reduced injury risk. Regular practice can also aid in weight loss, stress reduction, and detoxification.
Do I need to book into a class?
Yes, we recommend advance booking for our classes. You can book your class directly through the Walla app. We recommend scheduling your class at least 24 hours in advance to secure your spot.
Is Hot Yoga suitable for beginners?
Yes, Hot Yoga is suitable for beginners, but it's important to start slowly and be mindful of your body's reactions to heat and exertion. Beginners should focus on learning proper form and building heat tolerance. Always consult with your instructor before class to discuss any concerns or limitations.
How often should I practice yoga?
Hot Yoga is a dynamic yoga practice performed in a heated room, typically ranging from 97°F to 105°F. It's a challenging yet invigorating experience that benefits both body and mind. How often you practice is dependent on your goals, but most people practice 3-4 times per week.
Can I pause my membership if I am traveling or unable to attend for a period?
Absolutely! We understand that life can be unpredictable. Members can pause their membership for up to one month per year. Please contact our team at least two weeks in advance to arrange a membership pause.
What is your policy on class attendance and lateness?
To ensure a seamless experience for all participants, we kindly ask that you arrive at least 15 minutes before your class starts. Late entry is not permitted as it disrupts the class and compromises the experience for other yogis.
I don't have a yoga mat. Do you have mats?
Yes, we have mats and towels that you can use for free if you forget your own or don't have them.
